Netflix relies on Austrian originals with Elyas M'Barek
The streaming service Netflix is intensifying its cooperation with Austrian production companies and announcing two new series projects and a film with leading actor Elyas M'Barek.
The streaming service Netflixannounces three new investments in the Austrian market on Tuesday with the two series "Kitz" and "Totenfrau" as well as the feature film "What we wanted". "We want to tell Austrian content with global appeal and are therefore enthusiastic about these three new projects, which unmistakably come from Austria in their own way," said Director Netflix Original Series DACH, Rachel Eggebeen. In this context, the streaming service also announced that the series co-production "Freud" with the ORF was accessed on Netflix by around 25 million households worldwide in the first four weeks of spring.

The screenwriters are Tanja Bubbel, Daniela Baumgärtl, Janina Dahse and Korbinian Hamberger. The series "Totenfrau" about the owner of a funeral home is produced byMona Film Production GmbH and Barry Films (Benito and Wolfgang Mueller) in coproduction with ORF and based on the book series of the same name by Bernhard Aichner.
